Made in Paris, Circa 1955 - AKA Semi Rational. With very few manufactured, this model remains quite rare. Original throughout and ready for an overhaul either by us or by a tech of your choice.. The original case is included. The regular fingerings of the sax can be used, but the key work "system" allows for extra fingerings. When the second finger of the right hand is depressed,it lowers all the notes in the upper stack of instrument by one half step.

The is one of the last Mark VI altos produced by Selmer Paris. Manufactured in 1974, the serial number crosses over with the introduction of the Mark VII. This alto is being offered in as-is playing condition or with a full overhaul. The original lacquer is quite spotty.

Almost all of the finish of the relacquer remains which has taken on a vintage dark greenish hue; As we recall this lacquer color was common with horns that came through Canada. Good pads throughout with plastic resonators. With a medium dark timbre the sound quality is full and pretty. Adjusted and gig ready as-is. The original Chesterfield case is included.
